This is for me!

Take a look at the six skills we will develop together:

Skill #1: Choose a New Mindset

It turns out that one of the biggest barriers in confidence is how we see ourselves – how we talk to ourselves. We need to observe how we talk to ourselves, see if it’s accurate and true and helpful, and then change that mindset as appropriate.

Skill #2: Focus on Listening instead of Talking

It’s easy to think that if we want to be confident in our communication, we need to have a ton of clever things to talk about and be witty and engaging. However good listening (not talking!) is what makes a huge impact on how other people see you.

Skill #3: Become Curious

Curiosity means seeing every conversation as an opportunity to learn from another person, and that builds confidence because you don’t have to be the smartest person in the room. You’re genuinely treating everyone else like they’re the smartest person in the room, and you’re there to learn from them.

Skill #4: Find Common Ground

This is where it gets fun, because you’ll have a tool that you can use in every conversation to find new things to talk about. You don’t have to go in with a prepared agenda for anyone you talk to; you just implement a few simple steps to discover the things you both have in common.

Skill #5: Look through the Other Person's Eyes

Next we will investigate what the other person is seeing so we can understand it, and maybe there’s a way for both of us to be right by adding new information. It’s one of the quickest ways to build trust in any relationship, so this will be a fun one to talk about.

Skill #6: Focus Outward

If everybody is trying to get their own needs met, we’re all “taking.” If everyone could learn to focus on meeting the needs of others, we’re all “giving.” And it changes everything.
